I am an artist from the South East of England living in suburban London. This setting and where I grew up provide a constant backdrop to my work through personal memories and aesthetics of the suburbs and commuter towns. Predominantly working with used clothing and other domestic materials of the people around me, I create abstracted symbols and monuments to my surroundings and their intergenerational inhabitants.
These forms are realised as soft sculptures, drawings and photographs of spaces that hold significant memories to me or the communities I immerse myself in. My work often has a specific, faded but bright colour palette that reflects on the material ageing process as well as being reminiscent of a bygone era and considers how it relates to now. I am currently studying on the MFA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths (2021-2023)
