Through painting, collage, drawing and installation Jane predominantly explores the human connection/disconnection with the natural world.
Often with women at the centre of her work depicted as strong solid rocks or part of the Earth.
With ideas around all that they hold; strength, suffering, isolation, abuse and the disappearing of the older women in society, mixed into multiple subconscious/spiritual layers of beauty and enduring love.
Jane is a single Mother who has independently provided for her family working as an award winning Children’s book Author and Illustrator, publishing 60 books over 25 years. Now her children have become young adults she has more time to focus on her Contemporary Art practice.
She lives in Devon, UK.
