She would have liked that To remove the pain Put it in a sealed tub Use it as a flurry A spillage of feelings Smeared and smudged Dripping In a satisfied mess
My practice is rooted in painting yet I enjoy experimenting and playing with other mediums. This allows me to constantly challenge what my practice is and how it takes form. When I paint I use watercolours and work intuitively. The work is subtle and sensitive in its nature and I like using delicate materials. I take inspiration from the figurative language of female writers and my wandering thoughts and feelings in relation to the people, space and objects around me. I want my work to encourage a lyrical sensibiilty and intimacy with the viewer.
