This work is a response to the rising demands since March 2020, on my son & I. Here my son is on display with objects from our last pre-lockdown trip out, to mark our increasing sense of invisibility. We grew irritated with each while other making this, and blame the extra pressure to be enjoying ourselves.
I’m interested in the way we inhabit spaces, particularly differences in caring roles in institutions and domestic settings. I bring lived-experience of professional, mother and sick roles to my work.
