Chambers works with painting and textiles using traditional techniques in unconventional ways, playfully employing DIY and craft methods. Recent tactile paintings result from daily drawing and writing rituals which consider the embodied experience of distraction, chance and intuition in contrast to our relationships with new media technology.
Chambers (b.1983, Belfast) studied BA Painting in the National College of Art, Dublin (2006) and completed her MA Fine Art in Chelsea College of Art and Design (2011).
