External space shapes internal space. At first, all impressions and experiences life brings seem equally important to me. Gestures made as part of my process bring decompression to the inner and outer pressure to signify, measure and rank them. Expectations that come with things you can relate to disappear. This creates space for contemplation and attentiveness.
Contrary to concentration, attention covers a wide area and is not exclusive. It is not narrow and purposeful but broad and possibility-oriented.
By occupying myself with stones, lines and threads I mean to describe an imperfect circle through searching, observing and thinking, both sensitively and mentally. In my experience, this forms an ongoing motion. Internal space shapes external space.
