A looped film of Young breastfeeding her baby as she simultaneously drinks a pint of milk from a plastic carton. A slapstick routine, pointing to the circular and entangled nature of the labour undertaken. The more the baby feeds the more milk Young produces so the labour can be repeated – put in, take out and give out
Established in 2006 by Jen Conway and Jessy Young. We take a collaborative approach to commissioned and self-initiated projects and are motivated by art and design’s critical, social, civic and political potential. Our work often serves as an invitation to create communities. We are interested in DIY, inclusive and discursive forms of production and practise.
