FUTTER FÜR DIE MUTTER*, the social-critique-techno project emerges in everyday life while taking care, changing diapers, cooking, washing clothes. Going to a rave and doing reproductive work are both unpaid and serve to (re)manufacture/maintain the labour force. Repetitive and dull, techno embodies the experience of house work routines that we do every day.
Lisa Begeré is a full-time mother* and artist. They analyse mother*hood on a structural level, taking it as a theme for societal provocation. They let words rip through the mic and build pressure. The siblings Thea and Fend together make up a gender queer techno duo. They use synthesisers to extemporise endless musical mixes from a range of harder and industrial techno. Together, Emi, Thea and Lisa play a danceable Live Set thats at home at a rave: fluent transitions, ongoing tempo and subtile variations of genres.
Lisa Begeré’s artistic practice is focussing on performance and music, creating interdisciplinary work in various formats. They are interested in the exploration of collective processes and the political potential of humor.
“Lisa Begeré consistently develops their artistic and artistic-activist practice. They share their artistic knowledge as a contribution to a socially committed artistic practice. The works are characterised by the intertwining of art_activism_life. Begeré queer feminist practise thematically focuses on making visible and overcoming social taboos regarding questions of the body and exclusion.” Prof. Dr. Elke Krasny
Thus, the feeling of being imprisoned situations such as caring for a baby, or custody pending deportation, as well as imprisonment in social (gender) roles, e.g. as a mother*, is negotiated. The inherent failure of social conditions leads to a critique of efficiency and achievement.
