The photo captures the melting process of a white ice mask lying on the ground. The mask is a cast of the artist’s face and actually is a mixture of breast milk and Infant formula.
My projects appeal to the themes of childhood and maternity and everyday life experience.
I consider motherhood as a fragile construct, consisting of natural and cultural content. I draw attention to experience and routines of everyday life that we regard as unimportant and meaningless. Transforming everyday practices and objects I gives them added meaning. In my practice I use such media as video, performance, photography, embroidery.
