I am a multi-disciplinary artist whose roots lie in collage, but I have expanded my idea of collage to encompass the third and fourth dimensions, creating immersive environments and events, reflecting the zeitgeist. I’ve recently introduced video, song, audio and neon into my work, alongside the collage and assemblage, to further push the boundaries of my ideas. I’m also using performative elements in my practice now, using my own body, and autobiographical stories, to function as metaphors for universal topics. All this is done through a dark prism of melancholia, mixed with a sense of humour, that comes from the blacker end of the comedy spectrum. I have exhibited widely in London and beyond, won the Jealous Graduate Art Prize in 2010 with my MA Show ‘Accident & Emergency (Central St. Martins) and was Screen Print Fellow at The Royal Academy 2016-19. My work is held in the UAL Collection and the Victoria & Albert Print Collection. I am mother to two children, one of whom has learning disabilities.
